9/13 Sunday

Today’s Bible verse:
2 Thessalonians 3:10
10 For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: “The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.”

Pray with us:
Lord, We thank you for this reminder that, especially as your repesenatives, we should not become “freeloaders”. We need to do our share for what we receive. While this passage appears to address the physical, we also consider the spiritual. You gave yourself freely for our lives. We cannot fully experience your great gift to us unless we continue to offer thanks by sharing your word and love. We cannot fully experience you unless we reguarally unite in praise as your brothers and sisters. Keep us alert so that we do not become lazy and miss opportunitites to encounter you. Especailly in this time when people are feeling lonely or forgotten, let us reach out in your name and let them know they are not alone and your love and promise prevail whatever the world sends our way. AMEN
