Today's Bible verse:
25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her

Pray with us:
Dear Lord, today you remind husbands to love their wives as you love your church.  To us, that may seem a bit “one sided” and antiquated as women’s roles and family dynamics have changed so much.  Open our hearts that we see your directive as broader - for all your children; that we love our spouses and family members, whatever that may look like, with your unconditional love, compassion, support, and nudges for redirection when needed.  Let those receiving that love accept it as the beautiful gift it is and return it by learning from it, loving back, and sharing it with others.  In Your name we pray, Amen.

(Prayer by Cindy Chambers)
