6/21 Sunday

by WCUMC Member on 06/21/20

Today's Bible verse:

1 Corinthians 16:13

13 Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.

Pray with us:

Heavenly Father,

You commissioned the apostle Paul to bring the Gospel to the people of Corinth, but to many it was not good news. Then, as today, the people were more attuned to the wisdom of man and the pleasure the world provides. It is an easy message that the deceiver weaves, and we all struggle to stay on watch for when temptation arrives.

Provider of our strength gird us for those times of temptation. Help us to be alert to the traps of spiritual apathy and indifference. Give us discernment to filter the wisdom of men from Your divine revelation. Make us firm in our faith as we pursue righteousness and obedience and temper our hearts with love for others. Amen.
