6/17 Wednesday

Today's Bible verse:

Acts 3:6

6 Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.”

Pray with us:

Our Heavenly Father, thank you for redirecting us to appreciate the truly great gifts You have given us. You have given us the gifts of the Spirit with which we can change the world. Gold and silver are unimportant in the light of the Spirit. When Peter tells the lame man, he has no gold or silver but will heal him with the power of Jesus, he reminds us that we, too, have “what Jesus has given”! We can put this power to use as Your hands and heart in this troubled world. In Your name we will see the change you grant us and, like the lame man, “will leap with joy “! We pray this to You, Our Father in heaven. Amen.

(Prayer by Barb Charnock)
